These extraordinary times has emphasized us all to lay importance on self-hygiene and protection. The pandemic- COVID 19 has halted the world for months. We all have witnessed a dreadful scenario. Even our weapons of mass destruction became obsolete. Now is the time to rise up, as the need of the hour forces us all to depend on weapons of mass savior instead. These weapons come in forms of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) . The masks and the face shields are the earnest requirement and offers ultimate protection. Moreover, a shield is a quintessential equipment which should be made necessary as per many eminent researchers. C&I Group has scientifically designed and manufactured a face shield to serve and protect the humanity and do our bit in bending the corona virus curve. After giving more than 1000s of face shield to frontline workers as a charity, we have decided to launch it into the market, as it is essential to “Protect self, to protect others”.

Why this material?

PET (Poly Ethylene Terephthalate) is a thermoplastic polymer which exists in semi crystalline form making it an excellent transparent material. Its processing makes it a lightweight material which offers a good barrier to chemicals, gas and moisture. Moreover, its impact resistance property and flexibility makes it a fine choice for a face shield. This material is totally human health friendly and could be reused after washing with soap or disinfecting.

Use of foam and Velvet?

A Sweat and water absorbent cushion of 32 density-1.5 inch foam, covered with a velvet cloth (a smooth skin friendly material) is used to avoid stress on forehead. Thereby, enhancing and extending its wearability for long hours. Moreover, it maintains uniformity by sharing of weight to avoid head ache and stress. Use of foam cushioning makes the shield easily foldable and carried in pockets. Hence, suitable for offices, gyms, or outside use.

Use of Velcro?

Velcro is used to adjust size instead of elastic, as latter gives continuous stress on head while Velcro does not. Velcro’s hook and loop are tested for 1000 cycles.

Laser-Cut Precision?

The laser-cut design offers impeccable smoothness. Thereby, no unintentional cuts on human body.

This face shield’s design is registered with Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade, Govt. of India.
